Very funny

I picked up a Begonia luxurians at the end of summer at Cistus for a few dollars, knowing it wouldn't get to spend much time outside before it had to come in for the winter.

Greg discovered that the smaller desiccated leaves look like spiders and he thought it would be hilarious to leave one on the floor, call me into the room, then point it out.

Guys, if Alfred Hitchcock had been in the room with me he would've offered me a contract on the spot. I don't think I've ever screamed like that before. I'm tempted to leave one on Greg's pillow but I know that I'll see it, forget what it is, and scare myself all over again.

The upshot is that I had to give a big presentation at work the next morning and I had not a drop of adrenaline left in my body to make me nervous. But still, revenge must happen. Ideas?

  1. Oh, I don't have any good revenge fantasy ideas, but I would have screamed bloody murder too. Spiders freak me out. I once slammed my foot down on a tangled piece of thread that was on my kitchen floor.

  4. I have to say that Greg's trick was inspired but it worked only because spiders freak you out. Your revenge plot must involve something that inspires fear in him. Maybe, the next time he's out of town, you can send him photo-shopped pictures showing that you've repainted the entire inside of the house puce (or some other color he finds detestable).

  5. How does Greg feel about snakes? If you can find a nice piece of kelp (you know the bulbous head with the long snake like body) rinse and pat dry. place between the sheets on his side of the bed low enough that he won't see it when he puts his legs there and voila! It helps if you can watch a scary movie involving snakes before going to bed.
