It finally happened

I started my new job and it's been exhausting. I came home tonight and decided to take it out on the pear tree.

I cut it down!

Then I dug a hole to put in the California wax myrtle I bought and holy-effing-shit, it finally happened.

I found a body. Or bones.

PLEASE SOMEONE TELL ME THESE ARE CHICKEN BONES.

  1. Hahaha, I have no idea what kind of bones they are. Maybe a dog hid them for later?

  3. Perhaps you've discovered a pet cemetery....

  4. I'm guessing beloved cat. :) (Oooh, or serial infant killer burial grounds!) Probably pet, though.

We found a bunch of larger animal bones when digging up the lawn for the driveway. EXCITING! :)

  5. Alarming! Digging up bones is never a good feeling. I found a jaw bone piece in my yard at my old house: http://www.flickr.com/photos/annethelibrarian/491807510/
I think we decided it was from some animal that had been eaten, but I really have no idea. *shudder*
